Kemikara crouched down upon the tiled roof. The figures below her, had no idea that they were being watched from above, by eyes that sought to gain at their expense.
Kemikara knew that one man was a wizard and the other was a spell-scriber. This was no friendly chat of the magical arts, this was a sale of spells, most likely illegal ones. Ones that Sorcery Guild would not have condoned.
Kemikara would only have a few seconds, she was about to rob a pair of wizards. She reached to a belt that hung over her shoulder. Upon it were several vials of luminous liquids. She gingerly pulled out a vial with a clear liquid, green power was at its bottom. She shook it quickly and suddenly it glowed a pale green.
As she saw the spell-scriber pull out the scroll he had created. Kemikara then opened the vile and she drank it in one gulp. She gasped as power filled her muscles and then she leapt and spun in the air. in time that could not be measured by mortal sight, she landed on her feet and bolted at the mages. As the scroll was being passed from one mage to another. Kemikara moved between them like a tempest that had arose from nowhere. She gabbed the scroll and ran away before the effects of her vial wore off.
The mages realized then realized what had just happened.
“I am not sure what game you playing at…but I want that scroll as agreed.” barked the elder wizard, his clothing and trappings, painted him as a man of wealthy influence.
“Yes Lord…I will see it done and the vagrant killed.” The younger replied and before he could raise from his bow the elder had vanished.
“Damn the Gods….Lanthos, how could be such a fool. Doing the exchange in an alley.” The young mage scolded himself and then cast a spell, that shot him into the sky. He had a thief to find.
