As Londonium, slept…darkness crept…a lone soul wept…in terror unheard.
The young woman cowered in the dark alley the smell of filth and her own blood filled the air about her. She could not scream; the loss of her tongue has seen to that. She crawled with desperation, though in vain from the shadow that loomed above her.
The Shade’s eyes glowed red with malice, as spidery words filled the silence. The woman could feel her flesh ripped from her very bones, but she could not make a sound. The monster devoured her slow, savoring each bit. When death took the woman. The cloaked figure continued its feast until only the victim’s bones remained. The Shade soon satisfied, it growled with dark pleasure. Then it gazed at the glowing spirit, that sobbed silent upon the bones that once belonged to it.
“I see you…flee before I devour your soul as well.” The Shade warned.
The woman’s ghost stood and then faded to another realm to find peace. The Shade waved its wand in a circular pattern in the air, darkness gathered and churned about its from. Then like a deathly smoke cloud. The Shade shot into the air and leaving a dark trail upon the night sky, until seen no more.
